Our “After-After School,” Safe City Dorchester (SCD) is a year-round program that captures youth in the early evenings during the school year and also operates through the summer. Like YLSC participants, SCD youth work on leadership, communications and problem-solving, violence prevention, personal growth, community service and engagement.

Also like YLSC, SCD offers horizon-broadening activities to open a new world of experiences to youth including camping, skiing, kayaking, the arts, live theatre, career and college visits, fine dining, museum exploration, meeting public officials and much more. SCD participants are eligible for paid internships and job readiness activities.
